What a UK invoice should include
- Your business name, address and contact details.
- A unique invoice number and the invoice date.
- The client's name and address.
- A description of goods/services with amounts, and VAT if you're VAT-registered.
- The total due and your payment terms (e.g. due within 14 days).
Adding VAT
Set the currency to £, then enter the VAT rate (usually 20%) in the Tax column for each line. The generator adds the VAT to the total automatically.
If you're not VAT-registered, leave the tax at 0 and don't show a VAT number.
