Getting the page order right first time
The order of the merged document follows the order of the files in the list, not the order you selected them in or their filenames. Set the order deliberately before merging rather than fixing it afterwards.
A habit that saves rework on multi-document submissions: name your files 01-cover, 02-cv, 03-certificate and so on. They then sort predictably everywhere — in the merge list, in your file manager and for whoever receives them.

- A scanned page comes out sideways — rotate it in a viewer and save before merging, since merging preserves the original orientation.
- The browser slows down with very large files — merge in two stages, then merge the two results.
