How to generate a paragraph on a topic
- Describe the subject in the Paragraph topic box, for example 'why recycling matters' or 'the benefits of cycling to work for a company newsletter'.
- Pick a Tone: Neutral, Formal, Casual, Academic or Persuasive.
- Click Generate paragraph. The button reads Generating… while the request runs, usually a few seconds.
- Read the result in the Paragraph box and press Copy to use it elsewhere, or adjust the topic and generate again.
What happens when you click Generate
Unlike the counters and converters on this site, this tool cannot work inside your browser. Your topic and the chosen tone are sent to this site's server, which wraps them in a fixed instruction: write a single clear, well-formed paragraph about the topic, with no headings or lists, in the same language as the topic, in the requested tone. That instruction is forwarded to a third-party AI API (Groq), which runs an open-weight large language model and returns the paragraph; the server passes it straight back to the page.
The server does not keep your topic or the generated text, but the request does leave your device and is processed by the AI provider under its own terms. Do not paste confidential or personal information into the topic box.
Limits built into the tool
| Limit | Value | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Topic length | 500 characters | Anything beyond that is cut off before the request is sent |
| Output length | 400 tokens, about 300 words | Longer replies are truncated by the model's limit |
| Requests per minute | 12 per visitor | The 13th within a minute is refused with a wait message |
| Tone options | 5 | The tone is passed as one word in the instruction |
| Randomness | Moderate (temperature 0.7) | The same topic gives a different paragraph each time |
| Empty topic | Button disabled | At least one non-space character is required |
Messages you may see instead of a paragraph
| Message | Cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Too many requests. Wait a minute and try again. | More than 12 requests from your connection in a minute | Wait 60 seconds |
| We've hit the free AI limit for now. | The site's shared AI quota is exhausted | Try again in a few minutes |
| The AI request failed. Please try again. | The provider returned an error or an empty reply | Retry; if it persists, shorten the topic |
| Network error. | The request never reached the server | Check your connection |
| AI tools aren't enabled yet. | The server has no AI key configured | Nothing to do on your side |
Writing a topic that gets a useful paragraph
- Name the audience and purpose: 'why recycling matters, for a school newsletter aimed at parents' beats 'recycling'.
- Include the one fact or angle you want covered, such as a statistic or a local detail, so the model does not have to invent one.
- Write the topic in the language you want the paragraph in; the instruction tells the model to answer in the same language, and the result box displays right-to-left scripts correctly.
- Use Academic for essays that need measured, evidence-style wording, Persuasive for calls to action, and Casual for social posts and friendly emails.
What to check before using the text
Language models produce fluent text whether or not the facts are right, so verify any figure, date, name or claim the paragraph contains, especially when you did not supply it. The output is always one paragraph; for several, run the tool once per point, or use the Article Writer for a full piece with headings. The result is plain text, so copy it into your document and apply formatting there.
Since each run is different, generating two or three versions of the same topic and merging the best sentences is often faster than editing a single draft.
Frequently asked questions
What can I use the paragraph generator for?
Essays, emails, product descriptions, intros and anywhere you need a clear paragraph fast. Choose the tone to match the context.
Can I choose the tone?
Yes — neutral, formal, casual, academic or persuasive.
Is it free?
Yes, free with no account. Very frequent requests are briefly rate-limited.
Is my topic sent to a server?
Yes. The paragraph is written by an AI model hosted by a third-party provider, so the topic and tone travel to this site's server and on to that provider. Keep sensitive details out of the topic.
How long is the generated paragraph?
Typically 80 to 200 words, with a hard ceiling of about 300 words set by the 400-token output limit. There is no length control; add 'in three sentences' or 'in about 150 words' to the topic to steer it.
Can I write the topic in another language?
Yes. The model is instructed to reply in the language of the topic, so a topic in Spanish produces a Spanish paragraph.
Why is the paragraph different each time?
The request runs with moderate randomness, so wording and structure vary between runs even for an identical topic. Generate again if the first attempt misses the point.
