Frequently asked questions
What is a Unix timestamp?
A Unix timestamp (epoch time) is the number of seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC. It's a simple, timezone-independent way for computers to store a moment in time.
Does it support milliseconds?
Yes. If you paste a 13-digit value it's treated as milliseconds; shorter values are treated as seconds. The date-to-timestamp side shows both seconds and milliseconds.
