Frequently asked questions
What is compound interest?
Compound interest is interest earned on both your original deposit and on the interest already added to it. Over time this 'interest on interest' effect accelerates the growth of your balance.
How does compounding frequency change the result?
The more often interest is compounded — daily, monthly, quarterly or annually — the more you earn, because interest is added to your balance sooner and starts earning interest itself. The difference is small over short periods but grows over many years.
