How to find a birth year from an age
Subtract the age from the current year. Then subtract one more year if the person's birthday has not yet happened this year.
Example: someone who is 30 in June 2026 with a birthday in September was born in 1995, not 1996, because their 2026 birthday is still to come.

Why you only get a year, not an exact date
