How the conversion works
A .docx file is a ZIP archive of XML describing the text, styles and images. The tool reads that structure with Mammoth, an open-source .docx reader, turning headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and embedded pictures into clean web markup. That markup is then laid out on A4 pages with margins of about 11 mm and saved as a PDF using jsPDF.
Because the document is rebuilt from its structure rather than printed through Microsoft Word, the PDF reflects your content faithfully but not every detail of Word's page design.

When to use Word's own export instead
For a CV, a formal letter or anything where the exact look matters, the most faithful PDF comes from the program that knows the layout. In Word, choose File → Save As (or Export) and pick PDF; in Google Docs, choose File → Download → PDF document. Both keep Word's real fonts, headers and page breaks.
This converter is the quick route when you don't have Word installed, are on a borrowed or locked-down computer, or just need a document's content in a universally readable form — without uploading it to a conversion service.
